FAQ

What Does a Home Watch Service Provide?

We provide customized, scheduled inspections to spot any visible issues that might come up while your property is unoccupied, offering peace of mind with a personal, in-person presence that surpasses what remote alarm systems can offer. After each visit, you’ll receive a digital inspection report with photos of any notable issues that may need attention.

My Alarm Company provides Security for my home.  What Value Do You Add?

While an alarm company monitors for entry or fire, they don’t detect issues like broken pipes, mold, pests, or squatters. Our service provides regular, in-person inspections to spot these types of problems early, and we notify you promptly for guidance on any needed action.

Why Should We Use an Accredited Home Watch Company?

Accreditation from the National Home Watch Association (NHWA) shows that a company meets industry standards set by the NHWA, demonstrating a commitment to professionalism, ethics, and quality service. As an accredited member, Landmark Home Watch upholds this Gold Standard in the U.S. and Canada, proudly endorsed by the NHWA.

What is a Certified Home Watch Professional?

The Certified Home Watch Professional (CHWP) designation is awarded to NHWA members and their employees who have completed a specialized curriculum and passed a certification exam, setting them apart in the industry. In a field where some companies operate with minimal training and insurance, this designation—along with NHWA accreditation—represents a high standard of knowledge and protection for clients. Landmark Home Watch owners, Neil and Coni, have proudly earned the CHWP designation.

How Often Should We have a Home Watch Inspection?

Here in Florida, issues like mold can develop rapidly due to leaks from water heaters, A/C units, or plumbing lines. We recommend scheduling home watch inspections on a weekly, bi-weekly, or every-10-day basis to help catch and address problems early.

Are Home Watch Services Expensive?

Our services are affordably priced to provide you with valuable protection and peace of mind. Considering the potential costs of damages from leaks, pests, or trespassers, our service is a smart investment. We’d be happy to discuss pricing for our home watch and concierge services in a complimentary consultation.

How is Pricing Determined for Home Watch Services?

Since homes and condos vary in size and each owner has unique needs for home watch visits, we provide a complimentary on-site consultation to understand your specific requirements. After the consultation, we’ll provide a customized quote based on your property and requested services.

What Other Services Do You Provide?

Our Keyholder Service gives Landmark access to your property for vendors or service providers—or if you have friends or family visiting, we can greet them and stock the fridge with fresh groceries and beverages. We also offer vehicle moving services to prevent flat spots from forming. If a storm is approaching, we can close shutters, secure patio furniture, move vehicles to higher ground, and do our best to protect your property. For any special requests not listed, we’re happy to discuss a solution to meet your needs.
